After completing a Masters degree in Religious Studies from the University of Edinburgh, I was accepted as a BBC and Adobe Scholar to study editing at the National Film and Television School.

Since graduating I have edited animation, fiction and documentary films which have been screened across the world at festivals such as Cannes Film Festival, the BFI London Film FestivalPalm Springs Film Festival and South By Southwest. I have editing broadcast credits on the BBC, Channel 4, Netflix and HBO. Nominations and awards include BAFTAGrierson and the BIFAs. My first two feature documentaries Poly Styrene: I Am A Cliche and If The Streets Were on Fire both won the Best Documentary and Maverick Awards at the British Independent Film Awards.

I approach each edit with imagination and creativity and ultimately strives to craft each film into an emotional and psychological journey. I enjoy the challenge of complex narratives and structures in feature documentaries and always aim to add an artful and vibrant element to the films I work on. I am also interested in adding a visceral element to the edit and enjoy working closely with sound designers and composers to achieve this. I am a very collaborative editor and form strong bonds with those I work with.

I grew up in Hackney, North-East London and moved back here after graduating from The NFTS.
